Laviosa dates back to 1933 when founder, Carlo Laviosa, began producing micronized coal. Now, Laviosa's core business lies in the research and development of bentonites and other clay minerals into speciality solutions.

Stort Group are proud to officially distribute bentonite clays from Laviosa to the UK market. Part of the smectite group, bentonites swell as they absorb water or organic molecules making them effective, easy-to-use thixotropic agents. Laviosa offer a range for both solvent-borne and water-borne systems in pre-gel and easy dispersible grades.
